Celebrating International Women’s Day

BRENT BRENT2

Celebrating International Women’s Day

The event is designed to celebrate the achievements of local, professional women and organisations and provide information about local services and information available in the borough whilst raising awareness of issues such as domestic violence. There will be a combination of speakers and performances throughout the day, as well as an information fair available.  Refreshments and a light lunch will also be provided.

Brent Council and Brent Housing Partnership are hosting a free event to celebrate International Women’s Day on Thursday 5 March from 9:30am to 3pm, in the Conference Hall at Brent Civic Centre, Engineer’s Way, Wembley, HA9 0FJ.

We would like to invite you, your friends, family, residents and service users to attend the event.  The programme of speakers and performances will run from 10am until 12pm, with stalls and information available throughout the day from 12pm until 3pm.  It will provide you and your service users the opportunity to engage with residents, staff members and find out more about local organisations, and to join us in celebrating International Women’s Day.

If you would like to attend or display information at the event, or would like some further information, please contact Abby Crawford on equality@brent.gov.uk.
